Bus Check waiting period and Customer Statement Report updates

The Driver App adds a 30-second waiting period between Bus Check scans so each person checks individually, and the Customer Statement Report now covers inactive students and the route travelled.

Please find below our Release Notes for new features and enhancements to the RollCall system.

We believe these upgrades will make for a smoother and more secure experience for every user. We appreciate your ongoing support and collaboration.

What's improved?

1. Updates to the Driver App

This new enhancement is to ensure that the driver and supervisor both conduct the check individually.

To do this RollCall has created a waiting period (30 seconds) before the next user (supervisor/driver) can scan the Bus Check card at the back of the bus.

By allowing the 30 seconds, each Bus Check representative will have enough time to check the bus properly before handing to the next person.

How do I know if my school has Bus Guardian turned on?

If you go to your dashboard you can see if the Bus Guardian is set up for your routes.

If you have Bus Guardian turned on, please send the relevant information to your drivers.

When will the update happen?

The driver devices will be updated over the next week (starting 12 June).

2. New updates to the Customer Statement Report

The Customer Statement Report has two enhancements:

  1. All students regardless if they are active or inactive will be included. Previously it was only active students.
  2. The route that the student travelled will now be included as a separate field.
